The Computational Science Survival Guide

Free science with open source software

About the author

atomic tux

I'm a computational physicist. It means I work with computers all the time, from laptops to simulation clusters. Honestly, I don't know much about computer science, but I know how to do science with computers. I'm a convinced open-source advocate and I fell like I explain the same things over and over again to my colleagues, especially about getting started with Python, Git, and SSH. This is why I created this series of articles.

About this website

This website was build with open source alternatives. It was rendered with the static site generator Pelican, along with a customized version of the pelican-octopress theme developed by Maurizio Sambati. Free hosting is provided by GitHub. If you want to know more about all that, see the Pelican documentation, or search on Google.
